Swedish American Hall is a historic event space in the heart of The Castro. Located on San Francisco’s main street, Market Street, the venue is easily accessible by public transit from the downtown corridor and convention hub, Moscone Center.

A registered landmark built in 1907, Swedish American Hall is one of San Francisco’s oldest and most esteemed event venues. Designed with Arts & Crafts style architecture, the building boasts four unique spaces perfect for all aspects of your wedding, from ceremony to reception and after party.

Maximum guest count will be determined by the event flow and room layout. Banquet seating is based on 60” round tables seating 10 people per table. Our venue can accommodate up to 700 guests. However, due to fire marshall restrictions, total guest counts may vary based on event setup, furniture, etc.

Full 10 hour rentals include:

  • Basic wifi connectivity

  • Central heating

  • Post event janitorial

  • Vendor prep areas

  • On-site venue manager

  • Tables for up to 150 guests*

  • Chairs for up to 200 guests*

  • Built in A/V accommodations

  • Dimmable indoor lighting

  • Built in platform stage

* Ten 60” rounds, six 8’ tables, and 200 natural wood folding chairs. No linens provided. Please order all linens through your rental company. Labor charges of $250 + tax may apply for furniture setup.

All caterers are required to be pre-approved to work in the space, please reach out to your sales representative for more details.
